This Isn’t Just a parts work training.

Yes, you will learn about Internal Family Systems, Parts, and the nervous system, but knowledge alone is not enough. The educational portion of this training will be integrated through embodied meditation techniques so you can experience your parts and feel the power of your nervous system. Knowledge can only help us so much if we don’t know what to DO with it. Embodiment skills are an essential piece of this workshop so you can experience shifts that last beyond our time together. Past participants of these meditations have found them impactful and transformational even after just one session.


Venture Inward takes a completely different approach, combining:
  • Nervous System Training so you can stay grounded and present even when facing uncomfortable thoughts, memories, and emotions
  • Parts Work Training so you can learn the history of parts work and understand the concept of parts and how they work, and understand the qualities of your true Self
  • Embodied Parts Work Meditation so you can meet your parts with curiosity, get to know them, and better understand how to shift out of unhealthy patterns
  • Prompted Journaling so any insight you gain doesn't fade with time once the workshop ends

What Makes Venture Inward Different From Other Parts Work Trainings?

The field of psychotherapy has brought us many helpful tools for healing and self awareness, but Internal Family Systems has the ability to shift the way you see yourself and the world instantly. In addition, parts work is a more embodied approach than talk therapy, which allows for more profound insights and shifts. This online workshop isn’t a one-time event you’ll leave behind when it’s over, it has the potential to drastically shift your relationship with yourself and everyone you encounter going forward.

1. Nervous system practices 

To begin our time together, we'll use simple techniques to soothe the nervous system before diving into learning and inner exploration. We can't learn new information well if our nervous system is in a stress state.

2. Intro to parts work

Once we're nice and relaxed, I'll explain the Internal Family Systems model before we explore it through meditation. Here is where you'll begin to make sense of why we keep doing things we don't want to be doing. This is also where you'll learn exactly how the "troublesome" parts of your personality are actually trying to help you.

3. Venturing Inward

Next we'll move into our parts work meditation. Guided by curiosity, we'll use yoga nidra meditation to relax the nervous system and arrive in a place of deep presence and awareness. Rather than trying to quiet the mind, the parts work portion of the meditation will guide you through approaching one of your thoughts, or parts, and asking questions to get to know what this part has to teach you about yourself. 

4. Integration

We'll ease slowly out of meditation and immediately into a brief journaling session to record any insights that arose during the meditation.

After our meditation I'll open the room for questions and discussion.
